This prestigious project for the Russian Olympic Authority is to be acquired by developer TPS after the 2014 Winter Olympics and so is designed to provide the best functional layout for the requirements of a successful Shopping Centre that can be used as a state-of-the-art Media Centre during the Games. The building will accommodate the International Broadcast Centre and the Main Press Centre and is located on a strategic gateway site next to the train station.

The whole of the ground floor will accommodate access, servicing and car parking. The single level structure above provides easy access for visitors and staff, and allows for an extremely flexible floorplan. The Shopping Centre will accommodate 3 anchors and a large foodstore, a department store, retail units and a leisure area that comprises a foodcourt, restaurants, an indoor icerink and a multiplex cinema. Once fully operational as a Shopping Centre  the complex will feature shaded parking for 2,500 cars.

As part of the Masterplan for the site we have also developed the design for a 600 bed hotel to cater for visitors to the complex as well as the nearby convention centre. The client is currently looking for operators to develop this part of the scheme.
