Marina Tower

The preparation of concept designs for a twenty-three-storey apartment tower in Sochi Russia. The project complexity was increased because the full design for the tower had been completed and eight storeys of the concrete frame had been constructed. A pre-requisite of the client’s brief was to incorporate the eight floors of construction into the new concept.

This prestigious twenty-free-story residential complex is located in the upscale downtown marina district of Sochi. The landmark building, which includes a single tower, features a wraparound glass curtain wall. It forms a graceful vertical accent in the central harbor skyline.

The contemporary glass tower that rises out of the undulating landscape is designed as a finely detailed structure that blends sustainability with natural and organic references. Composed of a series of folded glass planes, the curtain wall offers the perimeter residences maximum daylight while reflecting unwanted direct sunlight
