Izhevsk – Five Continents

Five Continents is located at the junction of Krilova and Karl Max avenues in the city of Izhevsk. The location enjoys excellent transport connections with numerous mainline within proximity of the site, providing direct infrastructure access to downtown. It connects to the urban lifestyle of main avenues with walking paths and easy access to restaurants, retail and recreational venues. The community will feature themed living zones based on some of the characteristics of each unique continent, plus a range of amenities – including a fitness center, wellness restaurants, supermarkets and a host of educational programs.

Dyer conceived a design that encourages interaction between the residents of the whole future quarter and the local community. Five Continents will form part of a new large scale urban masterplan. The residences offer ample daylight, natural ventilation and a strong connection with the outdoors. The massing is carefully sculpted to open the best views towards the city centre and the great lake of Izhevsk.  Five Continents will provide themed entrance lobby (of the continents) and 1728 flats on approx. 100.000 sqm gross lettable areas fullfilling the special requirements of the flatmix (wide range of variants requiested by the Developer) with studio and 1 & 1,5 and 2 & 2,5 and 3 and 4 room apartments.

Sustainable streetscape design seamlessly integrates the landscape and infrastructure. The proposed sidewalk links through the site, along with the scale and density of tree planting, create not only a welcoming and walkable environment, but a differentiated sense of place. Pedestrian improvements and passages weave the site together, creating a variety of pathways and experiences through park area.
