In late 2000 Prudential Plc moved from Waterhouse Square to their new headquarters. Governors House, in the City of London. Waterhouse Square was then sub-divided and let to a variety of tenants. The sub-division had been so arranged that it left an area of approximately 16,000 sq ft at basement level, previously used as the staff restaurant, land locked. Dyer were retained to prepare options for accessing this space and therefore enabling it to be let. Waterhouse Square is a Grade 2 listed building an therefore attracted a great deal of interest from the planners, the conservation officer and English Heritage.

English Heritage was particular keen that any new works should be designed as a contemporary intervention in the existing building shell. This presented a great opportunity for developing the interior fit-out of the space that became a unique contemporary and vibrant headquarter office environment for the new tenants Egg.co.uk. The office space was focused around a central glazed break out space. A new glass tread staircase and lift were installed to provide access to the basement from the ground floor. Within the ground floor office entrance was glazed kiosk meeting room. The existing rooflights were fully utilised to provide natural light to the office areas, glare was eliminated with blinds.
