Crystal towers

The composition of these slender towers – office, residential towers and the hotel – are located in the heart of Moscow. Reimagining the typical tower arrangement of stacking a hotel above office space with a mixture of residential component, the design team placed the elements next to each other as independent structures, connected by an atrium and continuous green roofs. A series of vertically organized, small-scaled neighbourhood courtyards link the buildings.

The spaces draw inspiration from the crystal-like vertically expressed structures that have contributed to create an extension to the existing Moscow City urban tissue. Placed on the site to take advantage of natural day lighting and views, the towers provide extremely flexible floor plates. It is important that this development, albeit lower than the neighbouring Moscow City, does not appear secondary in its presence within Moscow.

The slenderness, and the composition of the individual towers will give the impression of a new city within a city that will provide the perfect counterpoint to the existing scale of the surrounding buildings.
