Dyer commissioned to deliver affordable but elegant, contemporary interiors for this local shopping centre located in Brateevo neighbourhood of Moscow. The exterior enveloped was also to be improved by Dyer, but the project was already in an advanced stage by the time Dyer’s design team commenced works. Hence the little influence we could implement on the final facades.

When developing the design strategy for the interior spaces we aimed for a human scale, a very humble and honest approach that would insert a natural trust in the costumer base. Nothing too flashy or ostentatious was allowed when selecting the colour and material patterns.

Natural colours with timber effect inserts framed metal profiles were arranged into a perpendicular raster system. This grid was used as the generator of forms, and root for every design decision. This set of rules is used throughout the ceilings, floor finishes, shop fronts and pilasters. These guidelines help achieving a coordinated overall interior design. A selection of free flowing furniture and suspended lighting elements feature some of the break-out spaces, which completes the mainly orthogonal composition.
